international spacestation and space shuttle.
at around 8:50 pm last night, we headed outside in the crisp darkness to see if we could possibly see the spacestation and the space shuttle. kevin had read in the paper earlier that we would be able to see them at about 8:50 pm coming from a southwest direction. the four of us gathered in the cul-de-sac and began looking up in the sky not really knowing what to expect. the only thing we knew was it would look like a bright star moving northward. all of a sudden out of nowhere we saw a bright looking star moving across the sky in a northwest direction just as the paper described. we all got excited as we watched it travel across the sky. it was just so neat thinking here we were standing on earth watching something that was in outer space with people on it! i guess kind of like looking at an airplane and wondering where are those people going, but only this time they're a little further away.
