happy birthday lacey!

yesterday, our lacey turned four years old! wow! it's so hard for me to believe how fast "our baby" is growing up. she is so funny and you never know what's gonna happen next with her. when she woke up yesterday morning i was giving her kisses and telling her "happy birthday!" as soon as lela opened her eyes lacey was in her face saying, "lela, you better tell me happy birthday!" i couldn't help but laugh, typical lacey.

we definitely had a very low key party at the house which was nice. i must remind myself it's just the prelude to her "big" party in the next few weeks. mom, laura, sam, evan and aunt carol joined us for pizza, cake and presents. lacey was so cute and excited about opening her gifts. she couldn't get one opened fast enough before she was on to another. she was all smiles when she opened up her newest american girl who she has named "lacey." why lacey? because she has blond hair with bangs, blue eyes and pierced ears just like the one and only herself.
