what was i thinking???

lacey's birthday is tomorrow. she will be 4 years old. i still can't believe it! we decided not to do anything real big because she is having a party at jumping jelly bean in a few weeks with friends and kids from school. i'm really excited for her because this will be her first "real birthday party." she is excited but considering its a month away it's hard for her to understand. so tomorrow it will be just a small family gathering with cake and pizza.

since it was going to be a small group, i decided to do something entirely different this year for her. i'm making her a decorated birthday cake. my dear friend wendy is always making her kids birthday cakes and they look so good! she is definitely my inspiration. so, i thought to myself what the heck lets give a try! somebody should have told me, i mean more like warn me how long this was going to take!
