happy easter

i hope everyone had a happy easter. we had a lovely day, yesterday. it first started with us attending our sunrise easter service in the park next to our church. i will be completely honest that getting up at 5:00am on sunday was a bit hard but worth the experience. it was just awesome sitting outside in the fresh air listening to the birds sing, watching the sun come up as our associate pastor preached on the empty tomb. the air was crisp and cool, but not uncomfortable. i'm so glad we did it! i just wish every easter morning was as lovely as yesterday, but i know that's an unreasonable request.

after church we spent the day at mom's eating, spending time with family, playing and of course, hunting for easter eggs. the girls were absolutely exhausted by the end of day and so was i.

today, marks the beginning of our spring break. we are all looking forward to sleeping in and just hanging out. we don't have anything exciting planned at the moment and i'm ok with that. it's just hard to believe that the end of school is around the corner and summer will be upon us. wow, where does the time go?
