easter and halloween?

kind of a strange combo if you ask me, but that is exactly what we did today - easter and halloween.

our church had their annual easter egg hunt for the children this morning. we had a blast hanging out with friends as the kids ran around chasing one another. the weather was absolutely beautiful! and what a perfect day for easter egg hunting. you wouldn't believe all the candy the girls collected. i'm sure the dentist is gonna love it!

it was while we were at the easter egg hunt i was informed that the costume shop in newnan was going out of business and everything was 50% off today. never one to pass up on a good deal we headed there after the hunt to see what we could find. after spending half the afternoon or at least it felt that way lela and lacey finally found the perfect costumes for halloween. i even saw a few i that didn't mind having for myself. i so wanted a star wars stormtrooper helmet that i had the girl looking through the store to find one - of course, they had sold out. i was so bummed. oh well, now i don't have to worry about halloween costumes come october...yeah!
