the magician is coming...

the magician is coming, that's all I heard yesterday at church from the kids in choir and i couldn't help but laugh.

the magician was none other than ken scott and he was coming to perform for our wednesday night program at church last night. the reason i tell you all this is well...i've known ken scott since elementary school. i didn't know him as ken scott, but ken wisenbaker. i can remember being in third grade and ken would practice his magic for the class doing card tricks and the metal rings you hook together. i think its so cool that he is doing magic for a living. to be so lucky to find your calling in life what a blessing!

before his show, we caught up talking about our high school reunion this past summer and what we had been doing. he had just gotten back from a cruise where he was entertainment on board...how cool is that! i mentioned that his daughter was in lela's class and she was excited that he was there at church to perform. we even laughed because a few of the girls were saying, "last time he had on a red shirt and this time he has on yellow shirt" and "oh, he's so strong!" we were cracking up.

he started his show and as usual we all loved it! ken is such a great entertainer and is definitely at home in front of an audience. it's just funny to me because i still remember us as being kids and forever will put ken in that place. my girls among others grabbed the paper placemats off the tables and proceeded to get his autograph? uh? well, i've got his autograph, too girls. it's just in my yearbooks from about 20 years ago or more....
