slowly to the blogging world. i so miss it! the yearbook somehow is coming to together slowly but surely. i feel as if many prayers have been answered with this project. i'm happy to say that my deadline is quickly approaching and i will definitely be happy to see it off my plate. hopefully then i can return to my normal life...again.
right now, the girls are "practicing" gymnastics. it is going to be a long day i'm afraid. school has been cancelled due to the impending snow that is expected this morning. i'm so disappointed because i was planning on taking some pictures this morning at school and making a little more progress before the winter break, which is next week. oh well.....what can you do.
laura celebrated her 36th birthday this past tuesday. we all went out to eat and had a lot of fun. here is the sweetest picture of the kids with their gigi from the evening. i absolutely love it! isn't it sweet? there is so much love that you can see in the picture as well as personalities.
talk about personalities...i had a parent/teacher conference with lacey's teacher, miss mary. it went just as i suspected. lacey i was told is easily distracted and likes to talk. well, there is a surprise. we laughed because mary said that when they did the evaluation she wasn't sure if lacey really didn't know her ABCs or just didn't want to participate. knowing lacey i have to suspect that she had other things she wanted to do and just did as much as she had to to finish. last night for instant she sat down and wrote the word "owl" on a piece of paper. i was so surprised and excited! i swear that child is smarted than she wants us to know.
lela was suppose to have a father/daugher dance at school this evening but it has been cancelled due to the weather. i hate that but completely understand. kevin kept harassing her by telling her they were going on a date. she would get so mad at him everytime he said that to her. it was cute! typical at this age, i suspect. i had even ordered her a corsage through the school for tonight, which she had no idea about it. oh well...
i am starting to make some changes toward my responsibilites next year with school and all. as far as preschool goes, lacey is going to remain there for kindergarten. i actually had a hard time deciding what to do with her and even toyed with the idea of moving her over to welch. it was more for me than anything. i kept thinking how easy life would be to have both children at one school, but after much deliberating i realized that staying at fumc would be best for her. she is not ready for "big school" and neither am i.
